Session Proposals

Westmont College
June 3—June 5, 2024

Purpose:

We are seeking presentations that address the vocational and professional development of our members. Proposals may encompass topics pertaining to any or all facets of our membership including traditional undergraduate enrollment personnel, adult learners, graduate & seminary enrollment issues, and matters impacting secondary school counselors and K-12 directors of admission.

In addition, we are seeking presentations concerning what it means to be a Christian in our profession. Our name reflects this priority; we want to continue to explore how our Christian commitment impacts our work each day.

We are looking for traditional one-hour sessions with time allotted for questions and follow-up information during the final minutes of the presentation.

Proposal deadline is January 31. After the presentations are selected, presenters will be contacted with further details.

Potential Presentation Topics:

This list of potential presentation topics is not exhaustive; proposals will be accepted on other relevant issues. Topics for possible presentations may include but are not limited to issues that address:

Diversity Women/men in leadership
Marketing Technology (current or future)
Best practices Professionalism
Office teamwork Career opportunities in enrollment
Middle management issues Issues impacting experienced admissions counselors
Admissions related software Cross-cultural & third culture student recruitment
Database management Curriculum development
Campus visits and events Issues impacting college advisors
Communication with parents and other stakeholders Advancement in the field of admissions/enrollment management
Communication: social media, print, electronic, e-counseling, telecounseling Mental Health

Presentation Proposal Specifications:

  1. Title of the presentation (10 words/75 characters maximum).
  2. Audience for which the presentation is most appropriate.
  3. Concise description of presentation (100 words/750 characters maximum).

After the presentations are selected presenters will be contacted with further details.

NACCAP-member presenters are required to pay for their conference registration.
