The NACCAP Conference offers a time to honor, celebrate and encourage those in our member community. We have several awards each year.
Please take the time to nominate a colleague, co-worker or mentor. Nominations should be in narrative form of 250 words or less.

NACCAP Annual Service Award
AWARDS GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING DIVISIONS:
- Admissions Officer of the Year
- Graduate and Adult Professional of the Year
- High School Counselor Professional of the Year
GOAL
To provide recognition for an outstanding admissions/counseling officer within the NACCAP organization.
SCOPE
To be chosen annually as directed by the Board of Directors, awarded at the annual conference.
CRITERIA
1. Three or more years of service in admissions/counseling at a member K-12 school, college or university.
2. Service to the admissions/counseling profession.
3. Outstanding performance in admissions/counseling.
CONSIDERATIONS
1. Any member of an admissions/counseling staff may be nominated and considered for the award, including high school counselors or directors, admissions counselors/recruiters, visit coordinators, assistant and associate directors, directors, deans and VP’s of admission or enrollment management.
2. Since the award will be presented at the annual conference, it is expected/hoped that the person selected will be in attendance at the annual conference.
3. Outstanding performance in admissions/counseling may include, but is not limited to, outstanding numerical success in achieving enrollment/placement/acceptance goals, etc.
4. Current members of the NACCAP Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.
Nominations should be in narrative form of 250 words or less.
NACCAP Outstanding Achievement Award
GOAL
To provide recognition for outstanding professional achievement within any aspect of the NACCAP membership.
SCOPE
To be chosen annually representing anyone in any region and will be awarded at the annual conference.
Anyone from any region may nominate someone for the Outstanding Achievement Award irrespective of the role in which the nominator serves.
CONSIDERATIONS
1. Current members of the NACCAP Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.
2. Any member of an admissions/counseling staff can be nominated for the award including assistants, associates, senior directors or deans, counselors, high school college counselors or directors, recruiters, visit coordinators, office managers, etc.
CRITERIA
1. Nominees must have at least two years of service in the admissions/counseling profession at a NACCAP member institution.
2. Nominees should be considered for contributions made to the profession and to NACCAP that would otherwise go unrecognized.
3. Nominations should not be considered based solely on numerical success in achieving goals or years of service in the profession, but should be based on making a significant contribution to the profession.
Nominations should be in narrative form of 250 words or less.
Recommendations will be made to the Board of Directors for selection of the person(s) for this award.


NACCAP Regional Service Award
GOAL
To provide recognition for an outstanding admissions/high school counseling professional within each region of NACCAP (Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, Great Lakes, Southeast, Northeast, Canada).
SCOPE
To be chosen annually, representing each region, and will be awarded at the annual conference.
Anyone from any region may nominate someone for a Regional Service Award irrespective of the region in which the nominator resides.
CONSIDERATIONS
Current members of the NACCAP Board of Directors or NACCAP staff are not eligible for consideration.
Any member of an admissions staff may be nominated for the award including assistants, associates, senior directors or deans, counselors, recruiters, campus visit coordinators, office managers, etc.
CRITERIA
1. Nominees should be considered for contributions made to the Admissions profession and to NACCAP that would otherwise go unnoticed (the silent servants in our offices).
2. Nominations should not be considered based solely on numerical success in achieving enrollment or counseling goals or years of service in the profession.
Nominations should be in narrative form of 250 words or less.
NACCAP Rookie of the Year Award
GOAL
To provide recognition for an outstanding rookie professional within each constituent group of NACCAP (K-12, Undergraduate, Graduate and Adult Professional).
SCOPE
To be chosen annually representing each constituent and will be awarded at the annual conference.
Anyone from any region may nominate someone for a Rookie of the Year Award.
CONSIDERATIONS
Members of the NACCAP Board of Directors or NACCAP staff are not eligible for consideration.
Any member of a staff may be nominated for the award including assistants, associates, senior directors or deans, high school counselors, admissions counselors, recruiters, visit coordinators, office managers, etc.
CRITERIA
1. Nominees must have at least six months but less than two years of service in the admissions/counseling profession at a NACCAP member institution.
2. Nominees should be considered for significant contributions made to the profession and to NACCAP that would otherwise go unnoticed. Outstanding efforts to serve the needs of the nominee’s institution are appropriate to consider for receiving this award.
3. Nominations should not be considered solely on numerical success in achieving enrollment or counseling goals but rather on contributions made to the betterment of the whole.
The following are examples of characteristics that may be demonstrated by potential nominees. This list is not intended to be exhaustive, but rather descriptive of exhibited qualities.
- Nominees may be someone who has caught the vision for promoting the benefits of Christian higher education and is able to effectively communicate these benefits to prospective students and their families.
- Nominees may be someone who has exceptional organizational skills and is able to effectively help facilitate events or who exhibits creative ideas that have proven successful at their institution.
- Nominees may be someone who regularly exceeds goals and objectives for the accomplishment of his or her institution’s successful attainment of their recruitment objectives.
- Nominees may be someone who exhibits maturity in guiding students to find the college or university best suited to their needs even if it means directing them to another institution.
- Nominees may be someone who promotes hospitality in all that he or she does to enhance the work environment.
Nominations should be in narrative form of 250 words or less.
