The 2023 conference will be held Tuesday, May 23 through Thursday, May 25.

What is the nearest airport?

Will there be a shuttle service from the airport?
Yes, shuttle services will be available on Tuesday from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm.
*Please note: To ensure conference arrival by 5:00 pm, the last airport shuttle will depart from the airport at 3:30 pm
On Thursday, airport drop offs will take place at Noon and then from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
*Please note: Last airport drop off is at 5:00 pm.
For conference attendees staying until Friday, there will be one airport run at 9:30 am.
To make shuttle arrangements, please complete this form. Select Transportation on the “How can we help?” field and then add your flight information in the “please explain” field. Shuttle cost is $15 per person and should be included on your conference registration.
What is included in the conference cost?
Conference cost includes conference registration, on-campus meals, Charleston Harbor historic dinner cruise and double occupancy in the residence halls. Linens are also included in the cost. Single rooms are available for an additional cost.
Are there accommodations at Charleston Southern University before or after the conference?
Pre-conference and post conference housing is available. The cost is $50 per person, per day. Please include the pre-conference or post conference housing option during registration. Contact us if you need additional housing options.

When/where do I check in?
Registration will be from 12:00-5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23 in the Littlejohn Parlor.
Do I need a parking pass?
No parking pass is needed. Parking is available near the Women’s North and South residence halls.

Residential Information
What are the residence halls like?
All rooms are double occupancy rooms connected to another double occupancy room by a shared bathroom. These 4-person suites allow four people to stay in total (two people per room, with a shared bathroom in the middle).
What linens will be provided?
As part of your NACCAP conference fee, the linen package includes: towel, washcloth, sheets, a blanket, and pillow.
Are single rooms available?
A limited number of single rooms are available. There will be an additional $125 fee for a single room (subject to availability). Be sure to indicate this request in your registration. Please note – you will still share a bathroom.
Is family lodging available?
Family lodging is available on a limited basis. Please contact us if you need family lodging.
Will I be able to do laundry?
Laundry facilities are not available.
Attire/Packing List
What is the dress code?
Attire for the conference is casual.
What Should I Pack?
- Comfortable walking shoes!
- Athletic clothes and shoes
- Toiletries including a hair dryer
- Light Jacket
- Umbrella (afternoon storms are common during May)
- Casual attire – keep in mind that it is usually summer weather in Charleston at the end of May; however, the dorms and meeting rooms are air conditioned
Activities and Events
Will there be any excursions?
We will be going on a historical dinner cruise in the downtown Charleston Harbor on Wednesday evening.
After the cruise, conference attendees can head back to Charleston Southern University for an evening of games and fellowship or explore downtown Charleston. Tickets for a private history tour on Wednesday evening are available for an additional fee. More details can be found on the Conference Excursions page.
Miscellaneous
Is there a coffee shop nearby?
Yes. Java City, the campus coffee shop, will be open throughout the conference. Hours are Tuesday from 1 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday from 7 am to 4 pm and Thursday from 7 am to 11 am. Additional coffee shops can be found off campus.
What if I have special dietary needs?
Please note this in your registration. The dining commons is fully prepared to accommodate any special dietary needs.
